Drug and alcohol problems.

These aren’t just the cause of a difficult life, they’re a symptom of one. It’s common for people to make the assumption that someone with a drink or drug problem has brought it on by themselves. We know from experience that this is not true.

The women, parents and children we help are some of the most vulnerable people in our society. There are many reasons why a person might develop substance misuse issues, such as mental health problems, abuse, poverty, poor education, or simply by trusting the wrong people. And we believe that none of these reasons make someone more or less deserving of our help and support.

We’ve been doing this for over 20 years, so we really know what works. We see everyone as an individual, and make sure we can get them the right help at the right time.
