Young Oasis Therapy Service
Some children live with parents who struggle with alcohol or drugs. This can make life hard, and children may feel sad, worried, or alone. They might take on extra responsibilities or feel guilty. These experiences can affect how they grow, learn, and feel about themselves.
At Young Oasis, children 5-18 years in Brighton can get 1:1 therapy to help with feelings and cope with difficult experiences. Our trained therapists use creative activities like drawing, painting, music, clay, and puppets to help children express themselves when words are hard.
Therapy lasts 16 weeks and is held on our safe, supportive therapy rooms. Families are included too, with support offered at the start and end of therapy so they can support their child at home.
Young Oasis helps children affected by a family members’ drug or alcohol use feel heard, understand their emotions, and build strength.
“I was listened to and taken seriously. I am able to say more now”
“I cry thinking about how much Young Oasis therapy has helped not only my child, but our family.”
