Young Women’s Wellbeing Nailbar
In summer 2017, Brighton Oasis Project launched a new project aimed at young women at risk of self harm/suicide here in Brighton.
Over the course of the year, we will be offering 6-week therapeutic group sessions in a Brighton nail bar – Powder Beauty to women aged 13-25. Our aim is to increase wellbeing and promote self-care to young women in a non-clinical setting, allowing them to talk through difficult feelings in a safe, women-only environment.
The sessions will be facilitated by two qualified and experienced Psychotherapists. Groups will take a structured Psychotherapeutic model and different topics will be covered each week. Trained beauty technicians will offer manicures, pedicures as well as hand and shoulder massage to each of the group participants.
The fist 6-week block is being offered to women aged 18-25 and will start mid-July. We’ll be running groups for younger girls aged 13-18 later on in the year too.
If you know a young woman who would benefit, please just complete a Referral Form or contact Jo Parker, our Young Oasis Lead, for more information; 01273 696970 (ext. 300) or email@example.com
