Volunteering at the Brighton Oasis Project
Volunteers are an essential part of Oasis. Not only do they bring their skills and enthusiasm, but they increase the diversity of our team and bring their own unique life experiences. It’s also a fantastic chance for individuals to gain work experience in a variety of areas, to meet new people and to gain the satisfaction of helping others.
We have a range of opportunities available in the following areas:
- • Crèche
- • Lunchtime Assistants
- • Supporting adult services
- • Reception/admin/IT
- • Counselling young people or adults
– NB: Spaces are limited for this placement - • Activities such as art, music, drama, creative writing etc
- • Complementary therapies
All volunteers need to undertake a CRB check and attend a formal training programme, which ensures that they understand the organisation, their role and responsibilities.
We do ask our volunteers to commit for a minimum period of 6 months, during which time they will receive ongoing support and training.
