Volunteers are an essential part of the Oasis team. Not only do they bring their skills and enthusiasm, but they increase the diversity of our team and bring their own unique life experiences. It’s also a fantastic chance for individuals to gain work experience in a variety of areas, to meet new people and to gain the satisfaction of helping others. All volunteers need to have a DBS check and do some training with us which ensures that they understand the organisation, their role and responsibilities. We also ask our volunteers to commit for a minimum period of 6 months, during which time they will receive ongoing support and training.
