I am a mother and I am worried about my drug use. I would like to come to Oasis, but will you tell social services about my drug use if I do?

We understand that this can be a really big concern for women with children. It’s really important for us that all children are safe and happy. Your drug use doesn't necessarily mean that you are a bad parent, though we know that sometimes children can be concerned and worried about their parents and might be exposed to risks related to your drug use. We will ask you questions about any children who are living with you. If we think they are at risk then we will discuss this with you. In our experience though if you are seeking help for your drug problem social services would see this as a positive sign that you are acting in the best interest of your children in seeking to change your behaviour and would not judge you in asking for help.
