Women On The Edge – 29th May 2012, Audrey Emerton Building , Brighton

This, our 3rd Annual conference will bring together a range of speakers from academia, medicine, nursing and social care to address issues facing this client group. Themes to be covered in both plenary sessions and workshops include:

  • Addressing Entrenched Neglect
  • Recovery in Primary Care
  • Meeting the sexual health needs of women substance misusers
  • Working with “troubled families”
  • Services f or young women
  • Patterns of Drug Use in women
  • Personality dis or ders and women
  • Domestic violence and substance misuse
  • Baroness Massey of the National Treatment Agency will be opening the conference. Delegate rate: £130 per person including lunch and refreshments.

    Young Oasis Art Exhibition at the Jubilee Library Brighton

    Over the last year Young Oasis has been running Holiday Art Groups during the school holidays funded by Children In Need and facilitated by an Integrative Arts Psychotherapist and an assistant. An exhibition of group and individual work is on display at the Jubilee Library Brighton from the 19th – 30th of January 2012.

    Open Morning

    Do you work in health and social care and want to know more about the way we work and the services we offer? If so, then please come along to one of our open mornings!

    On the last Tuesday of the month, from 9.30-10.30am, we run a short open morning. During this time, you will be given a presentation about our work, a tour of our buildings and the chance to ask as many questions as you like about who we are and what we do.

    Whilst there is no charge for your attendance of the open morning, if you fail to let us know of a cancellation, it is our policy to bill your organisation the sum of £20.
