BOP will be opening the doors of its base at Number 11 Richmond Place on Tuesday 19th September from 12 midday to welcome you along with your friends and colleagues to celebrate our 20th Birthday with us.
We will be running a host of mini events and activities throughout the day, which will include
– Talk with some of our clients about their recovery journey
– Find out what it’s like to volunteer with BOP
– Discover the important role of our Trustees and meet some of our previous Chairs
– Talk to some of BOP’s longest standing members of staff about their work over the years
We will be exhibiting some of the photos, documents and artifacts which document BOP’s milestones over the years. You will be able to take a look at some of the inspirational artwork and creative writing produced by BOP service users.
We’d like to share a film about our exciting new Arts Council funded project, which will highlight some of the recent work we’ve been doing and give a taste of things to come.
We will hold an informal, celebratory ceremony to thank our volunteers for their dedication and the enormous contribution they make to our organisation.
It’s the end of an era. Toni Wilkinson, our Chair since 2011, is moving on. We will be thanking Toni for all her hard work over the years and welcoming in the new Chair to BOP’s Board of Trustees.
BOP has recently launched the Big BOP Appeal: £20k for 20 years, which you will be able to access and donate to should you wish. Find out more on our ’20 for 20′ appeal page.
This event is completely free to attend and you are welcome to come for the whole event or just for a part. We will circulate a full programme nearer the time to those who have registered an interest.
